Fun loving and active...
...group of people who love to ski with each other, as well as with our children & grandchildren.
Alphorn Ski Club of Bucks County was founded in 1975 by local ski enthusiasts. As a ski club, we organize and offer low cost trips with experienced trip leaders to explore destinations in the United States and Europe. Every year we usually offer 2 ski trips with destinations like Gstaad and Davos in Switzerland; Ischgl and Bad Hofgastein-Salzburg in Austria; Chamonix in France; Vail and Breckenridge in Colorado; and Snowbird in Utah. In addition, we plan several organized and impromptu local area ski days. As a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Ski Council, we can extend our ski trips to and participate in all of their other member's ski trips. Our ski trips are designed to accommodate the beginner, novice and expert skiers and boarders- young and old alike. We also offer activities for non-skiers as well. We believe friendship is more important than ability so after a day on the slopes, we enjoy getting together to eat, drink and tell stories about the day.
The club continues to focus on skiing, but of late has expanded its horizons and we are a year-round club offering summer activities and travel. Our members enjoy biking and golf together in the summer. Our social events include dine-arounds at local restaurants, theatre outings, Phillies games and parties. Our summer trips are as exotic as our winter trips with destinations like Istanbul, Budapest and St Petersburg.
